New from FMS, the new and highly detailed F/A-18F Super Hornet.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is a tandem-seat, carrier-capable, multirole fighter and attack aircraft based on the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. Designed and initially produced by McDonnell Douglas, the Super Hornet first flew in 1995. The Super Hornet entered service with the United States Navy in 1999, replacing the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, which was retired in 2006; the Super Hornet serves alongside the original Hornet.
ROC HOBBY is proud to bring you this new and highly detailed 70mm ducted fan F/A-18F Super Hornet. Incorporating many of the new and advanced construction and assembly features such as the optimized screw based assembly, pre-installed ball links and a heavy-duty wing spar, the super hornet is quick to assemble and disassemble. Based on the original 64mm F/A-18 Hornet, the 70mm F/A-18F Super Hornet features rich details, clean lines, CNC-machined shock-absorbed landing gear sets, and a button-type canopy hatch. Included with the model are four decal sets that allows you to make your own Super Hornet and stand out in your airfield.
The power system, which provides tremendous thrust and speed, utilizes our new and improved 70mm 12-blade EDF V2, KV1900 motor system. This brawny system, when coupled with a 6S battery, provides a resonating turbine engine sound.
The EPO material ensures the durability. The environmentally friendly water-based paint ensures vibrant and glossy color schemes. The significant input of the basic materials makes this airplane fantastic.

This is a very good edf jet. I was I impressed with the gear mechanism it is very strong for rough landing. The Jet is very powerful and ágil. I got 15 flights on it already I am very happy with this Jet.👍😃
This review is on the assembly and finish on the model as I haven't maidened it yet. I plan to maiden Sunday, 9/15/24 and will do a seperate review in the flight.
I received this a week ago. And decided to have Callie Graphics do the graphics for the "Year One Super Bee" she had on her site, to make it different from the rest.
The assembly was very quick and easy, even though you have to glue the elevator halves on, FMS 's foam tac sets fast and cures pretty quickly. Overall took me 20 minutes to assemble, and let the foam tac cure over night. What took the longest was applying the graphics.
I was pleased that FMS added pin typ hinges in the surfaces working with foam hinges as well. I wished they would do this on all their jets. Straight foam hinges are not so dependable on a jet that does 90mph and up.
The finishbon it was really nice no blemishes or defects out of the box and the electronics worked perfectly.
This is one of my favorite EDF jets. Flys great with a 6S4000 and looks awesome. Over 90 flights so far with no issues.
I didn't really have a strong desire to buy this jet. I only did it because I had the F18-64 and this one had retracts and flaps. If I had only know. Flies fantastic! Takeoff quickly, can do anything in the air, very predictable and easy to land without coming in real fast. It's my favorite jet to just relax, fly, do some acrobatics and just have a great time without worrying. Oh yea...TG2 also influenced the purchasing decision - see picture.
