In the late stages of World War II, influenced by the Morgenthau Plan, Germany was required to divest its military industry and German engineers turned their focus to designing agricultural machinery. Albert Friedrich, former head of aircraft engine design at Daimler-Benz, was one of those engineers. His idea began with a simple sketch, resulting in a machine with full-time four-wheel drive, equipped with differential locks, portal axles, and the ability to power external devices. The Unimog 421 series was widely used in agriculture, forestry, firefighting, and other sectors.

Great truck for the money

Very well put together, feels heavy and durable. The bed panels are a little flimsy so I glued it all with Tamiya plastic glue. Overall a great little truck, I’m working on a YouTube review of the FMS lineup where I’m doing a deeper dive then most reviewers.

FCX24 - Unimog

Runs and crawls great, looks like a Unimog :) I really like the two speed transmission and switchable headlights.

Hilariously entertaining

This goofy little truck is an absolute hoot to drive with fantastic scale details, and the front-mounted battery and power switch is perfect for non-experts. My father-in-law was grinning ear to ear as he ran it around the living room in 2nd gear.

I’ve heard great things about this Unimog and I finally purchased one during this amazing sale offer from FMS. I love the detail, crazy capabilities and the endless modding options for this RC truck. I plan on upgrading it over time and hopefully ending up with a capable overlander camper. Highly recommended and shipping was lightning quick direct from FMS.
