One of my new favorite rcs and was bigger than expected
Definitely like the quality of this vehicle and compared to the TRX4m the transmitter it 100x better with all the extra options. However it definitely lacks in suspension travel (shocks are wayyy too short) and there is lots of slop in the drive line. Also in stock form the tires rub the body when flexing and turning. The car is a good buy at the sale price but feel to become a top contender those few things definitely need addressed. Overall happy with the purchase but feel the car falls just short of its Traxxas competition.
I love the looks of this truck! Had to go with black! I didn't get a chance to take it outdoors, just indoors. I do need to whine about some things. I'll start off with the fake "D" rings on the bumpers. Really! Looking at the truck online, the hooks look like they might be usable. Guess I'll have to wait until the aluminum bumpers come out to where I can add the hooks.
The hitch that comes with it, I don't see the donut on the trailer being attached for very long when trailing. A bummer about the hitch is that it needs to be screwed in. What's with the hitch insert and the receiver not being square!
I'm not a fan of signals, The hazards are cool, but I think it's only on the front. The headlights and taillights are also cool. Too bad the overheads on the front and rear don't light up.
Tires are too soft. I'm going to try those silicone inserts. Maybe I'll see about adding weighted rims to those tires :-).
I do like the 2 speeds. The low sounds a little grindy and I'm not sure if that is normal for this model.
After all the boo hoo's, I still think it's a sweet looking truck. The detail of this truck is almost perfect! No regrets on the purchase. I'm looking forward to see what might come out in the aftermarket world for this rig.
