Description

The A6M Zero was a long-range fighter aircraft operated by the Imperial Japanese Air Service. In early combat operations, the Zero gained a legendary reputation as a 'dogfighter' remaining king of the air until around 1943. The aircraft was designed with long range and performance in mind, durability and pilot protection were not considered priorities which led to many very good pilots loosing their lives. Ultimately this resulted in an Allied advantage later in the war.

FMS has continuously developed and improved its 1400 Series of this famous Aircraft. The new Zero brings a cleverly constructed and extremely agile aircraft to add your hangar.

Stable Warbird

A maiden, my FMS 1400 mm Zero today, and even though we had strong winds of 15 to 20 mph, she handled the wind with no issues. She is a very stable flying plane. And probably one of the easiest war birds, I have flown.

First warbird

I fly off of a grass runway, so I bought the 1400mm size and it is supposed to be one of the easier warbirds to fly.

A Bit Dated Model

Control horns, push rods, servo mounts are all a bit more to be desired. Push rods are really weak, needing immediate replacement. Elevator and rudder servo mount is weak and flexes when actuated, causing the rudder to move when you actuate the elevator with no mix. The model feels dated bringing me back to early '90s RC.

FMS 1400mm A6M3 Zero Green

A very stable and competent flier that's always one of my go to planes!

Very nice Zero

This is a very nice flier. Great size although 1500mm would be awsome. Flies great looks great, and lands nicely. The only thing I woukd ask, is to upgrade the landing gear to the better metal trunion gear. This one has been out for years and there's been no new version to it. V2, better gear?
