Description
The FMS 1400mm T28 is going to get its fourth remarkable upgrade after it was launched three years ago. The 1400mm T28 V4 is coming!
No matter whether you had an FMS T28 or not before, the coming V4 is full of surprises. First of all, the foam ratio has been upgraded from EPO 40 to the lighter and larger EPO 52, which alleviates the airplane's weight, without weakening the airplane. Moreover, the original oil paint which has an unavoidable negative side effect of corrosion has been replaced by the latest environmental water-based paint.
Let’s take a look at more upgrades below. The latest FMS multi-connector is also used for V4, which makes the assembly easy and simple while leaving the wires orderly and user-friendly. The 1400mm T28 V4 adopts the new design of ball linkage to remove the clearance and hit an accurate flight. The updated 4258 motor drives the power and speed around 30% higher. Both front and rear landing gears are metal, with a shock absorption function for hard landings. In terms of construction and performance, the 1400mm T28 V4 is totally different to the old versions. It is certain that the latest version greatly enhances flight appeal. Don't miss out on this thrilling experience.
Notes to buyers:
RTF (Ready to Fly) airplanes come with everything you need to fly in the box. A transmitter, receiver, battery, charger, and all other required electronics are included and pre-installed from the factory.
PNP (Plug-and-Play) airplanes include the ESC, motor, and servos all pre-installed from the factory. Transmitter, receiver, battery, and charger are not included.
The 1400mm T-28 uses foam hinges, not nylon hinges. Some packaging or manuals may still mention nylon hinges, but rest assured—every T-28 features reliable foam hinges. Thanks for your understanding, and happy flying!

Great aircraft flies really good! Good value for money.
I really like this plane. Zero bad tendencies and very predictable. In stock configuration she is a bit slow. I upgraded the esc and run it on a 5s setup and this plane absolutely screams with this set-up. Upgrading the gear with all metal gear would be nice for future versions. Bottom line, is this is a great airplane when powered adequately.
Pluses and minuses vs previous versions. Minuses are:only one pilot (vs 2), no sequenced gear doors (this is kind of a biggie), fewer servos overall, most 5 or 6 cell batts won't fit, pretty sure a 6s would blow the esc, 5 might too, bar that closes nose gear door has weak connection and come out, and no cowl flaps (this virtually makes no difference). Pluses: much lighter foam very much improves performance (faster and more responsive), ribbon connectors for wings, oleo type struts on landing gears (this is definately nice), and it performs like a great T 28 (T28 being one of the best war bird planes for ease of flying and performance) and it looks great! Definitely would recommend this model and it flys surprisingly great on a 4 cell. Oh, it also looks fantastic.
The plane flies great after some modifications. Even with the battery moved all the way back in the tray, the plane is still too nose heavy. Some have stated that the nose wheel is weak. This may be from a plane that is too nose heavy. In order to get the nose wheel up while landing, the plane needs to come in fast. If not excuted perfectly, the plane could bounce and land on the nose wheel, potentially causing damage. I have seen this at our flying field. To make the plane more CG neutral, I added weight behind the battery tray. About 4 ounces of weight made the plane more CG neutral and it has become easier to fly the final approach slower and still be able to flare with the nose wheel off the ground. Have the ability to move the battery even more rearward would have been nice.
Also, my rudder servo quit working after only 3 months. I was 13 days past the 90 day warranty period and now need to replace the servo. The rudder servo only controls the rudder. There is a separate servo for the steerable nose wheel, so there is no excuse for a failing servo after only 3 months of use. I fly only on weekends (when I can) so this plane did not have many flights on it before the servo failed.
The color scheme is very nice and with a little weathering and personalized painting, it looks even more like the full size T-28.
I would still recommend this plane, but others may want to use caution when trusting the stock servos.
