FMS 1700mm F7F Tigercat Blue PNP

I have this bird for 4 years and over 60 flights. I had one crash, and it was not that hard to reattach the nose. I've had 50 flights on it since, without an issue.
The weakest part of the airplane are the landing gear doors. The hinges are easily broken and if you fly off of grass the gear will need a lot of maintenance.
It fly's like a warbird so it's stable but not very exciting to actually fly. Great stage presence, the guys like to see it up in the air!
I would consider upgrading the motors and ESC's for a little more power, as after so many flights, even using 7000mh batteries it seems to be slowing down in the sky.
A nice airplane to practice landings on bigger heavier planes with, in preparation for flyinglarger birds.

This is my 4th Tigercat, I sold 2 and lost my first to a SPEKTRUM crappy radio (I fly JETI now). But this bird will go nowhere, she’s only flying for me and these Tigercat are the absolute best foam warbird ever made. Get one before they stop making them, I’ll have at least 2 more and maybe more. AAA+++

Lot's to love about the Tigercat. Looks amazing, flies beautifully and generally very will built. However, the factory wiring is poorly implemented. The esc power and throttle leads are absurdly short coming out of the wing, I had to buy extensions. Fitting the engine pods to the wing was difficult due to too little room to pack the wiring in place. The screws should all be higher quality and larger. I wish they made the plane in a 1500mm version, I suspect the narrow fuselage required a larger plane to accommodate the 6S battery etc.

Being a balsa warbird fan I was a little hesitant about purchasing a larger foam RTF plane and actually felt a bit guilty as I enjoy building or modifying ARFs to suit my needs and hardware. Also, a 12+ Lb. foam plane kind of raised a red flag. The assembly was pretty straight forward and was built and CGd per the manual. Loved how scale the landing gear, prop hubs and dummy radials were! Really a step above anything I've seen before. The cockpit/pilot left a bit to be desired and I wish the tires were made of a softer material. She's also quite susceptible to hanger rash if manhandled. Any reservations I had about flying this bird were immediately gone on the maiden flight. A few clicks of elevator and ailerons and all was steady as can be. She's not fast but flies scale, my kind of flying, will do all of the basic warbird maneuvers with great presence and authority. 4+ min. flights with a 5000 45c battery are the norm with plenty of battery left for a go-around or two, 6 flights so far. A very forgiving airplane to land and I have yet to need a go-around. Very few nits and a lot of good things to say about this plane. 5 stars all the way! A great addition to my fleet.

Twins are not difficult to fly, which is the opposite of what I was lead to believe by the old guys at the field. This model makes learning a twin motor plane a cinch to fly. FMS has already paired the motors with very capable ESc’s that have the precision to keep this incredible beast in the air. This planes large size helps it be more stable when flying, but turn up the rates and enjoy a wild ride! Highly recommend.
